ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Todd Waelterman, Director of the St. Louis Streets Department, joined Today and St. Louis via phone Friday morning to talk about road conditions in the city.
Waelterman says the warmer temperatures are helping crews clear the roads. He says workers have encountered several abandoned vehicles in traffic lanes, making it difficult to clear roads.
Snow is also making parking difficult downtown. Plows have pushed the snow off to the side, making parking hard, and making it very difficult for any cars parked overnight to get out.
Use caution if you try to dig out a car that has been blocked in by snow.
Waelterman says crews continue to work, and are taking their time to make sure they clear any slick spots on the streets.
