Judge approves Ellisville Wal-Mart permit application

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - Judge David Lee Vincent III has ruled to allow Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. and Sansone Group, Inc. apply for a permit to develop an area in Ellisville.

The permit will allow the companies to construct and operate a 50,000 square food general merchandise department store that will have an additional space for multiple tenants. Liquor sales have also been approved.

The hearing was held January 29 and the decision was made Tuesday.

Some residents in Ellisville were oppposed to the proposal, which was approved by the City Council of Ellisville September 5.
