(KSDK Sports) -- No rest for the St. Louis Blues.  After four days off, in which their injury list continued to grow, the Blues are back in action on back to back nights, against Edmonton.  Thursday night, the Blues gave up a tough loss to division rival Chicago, 3-0.

The Blues will seek to avenge last night's loss, which seemingly was over before it began.  Just :12 seconds into the first period, the Black Hawks were on the board with a surprisingly quick goal off the opening face-off

Jonathan Toews was brilliant and the tandem of Corey Crawford and Ray Emery combined to register a shutout as the Blackhawks extended their incredible point streak to a staggering 20 games.

As we've been reporting, with Vladmir Tarasenko, Andy McDonald and Alex Steen out, the Blues need to create more offensive opportunities.

The Blues were one of the hottest teams out of the gate in this 48 game season, but it appears teams are finding out how to beat St. Louis.   The Blues must step up and prevent Edmonton from executing a game plan that disrupts the rhythm of the Blues offense.
