SOUTH ST. LOUIS (KSDK) -- Three people were injured in the same neighborhood just blocks apart around 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

The first incident was a male and female walking south on Compton from Keouk who were shot in the 3900 block of South Compton.

Two black male suspects appeared from the gangway and began firing gunshots towards the couple. The female, 19, was shot in the leg and was transported by EMS to a local hospital. The male, 18, was shot in the arm and was taken to an area hospital by a friend. Both victims were in stable condition.

The suspects fled the scene. One suspect was wearing a black skull cap, light complexion, black hoodie and jeans. The other suspect was last seen wearing an orange sweater and dark pants.

Just three block away the suspects were believed to strike again. This time two victims on the front porch of a house in the 3500 block of Pennsylvania were the target. After the suspects fired five to six shots at the victims, the male, 37, was shot in the shoulder and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The investigation is ongoing.
