VATICAN CITY (KSDK) - It's Monday in Vatican City, and by this time Tuesday the conclave will be underway to elect a new pope, and if you stop to think about it, it is a daunting job.

The Catholic Church is 2,000 years old, it has more than 1.2 billion members and of course the goal is to reach the entire world. That's why this trip to Rome has been a strange one for St. Louisan Patrick Dolan.

Pat is the younger brother of Cardinal Timothy Dolan, who is considered one of the leading candidates to become the next pope.

He is in town to support his brother, and they had lunch together on Sunday. Pat is 15 years younger, but he says the two remain close and he always knew that his brother was destined for great things.

It's one thing though for Cardinal Dolan to be Archbishop of New York, but it would be something else entirely if he becomes the pope.

NewsChannel 5's Mike Bush asked him what may be the one thing we don't know about his brother.

"What a lot of people don't know is that he is a lot like me and you and everybody else. He's somebody's son, he's somebody's brother, he's somebody's uncle. He's really just a normal guy. When people say what happens when your brother comes to the house, we just put a ham sandwich on the plate. You know it doesn't matter, he's about as down to earth as you can see," said Patrick Dolan.
