(KSDK Sports) - Kwamain Mitchell scored 19 points to lead the Saint Louis University Billikens to the Atlantic-10 tournament title, beating Virginia Commonwealth, 62-56.

The Billikens tied a school record with their 27th win of the year (27-6), and now await the NCAATournament Selection Committee's decison on how high of a seed they will have.

Mitchell scored 12 points in the first half as SLU seemed to have control of the game well into the second half, building up a lead as much as 13 points.  But the Rams (26-8) fought back into the game, getting within a point at 49-48.

But Cody Ellis scored his first eight points of the game and Mitchell added a long three-pointer as the Billikens boosted the lead back up to six.

Dwayne Evans added 16 points for SLU, continuing his strong performance throughout the tournament.
