ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KSDK) - A train has come off its track in south St. Louis County.
The accident happened around 8 p.m. Monday at Reavis Road and Reavis Park Drive. The train car came off the track, but remained upright.
Fire officials say the train has a white sign on it that says it is carrying hazardous material. NewsChannel 5 was originally told that the train car was empty, but has since learned that is not the case. There is an unknown material inside the car and hazmat crews have been called to the scene as a precaution.
Reavis Road is closed between Mackenzie Road and Tesson Ferry Road.
