ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Workers at Scott Air Force Base got the news last week they weren't going to have to start taking mandatory furloughs for two more weeks, but the 4,500 civilian workers will start taking 20 unpaid days between late April and the end of September.
Not only are those families trying to find a way to deal with less pay, so are businesses in the community who depend on their spending.
Thomas Nitzsche of Clearpoint Credit Counseling Solutions joined First @ 4 on Monday to talk about a program that can help pay the mortgage of furloughed employees. It's a webinar that helps inform users about how to survive financial setbacks.
