ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Polls are open in Missouri and Illinois for the April municipal elections.
The mayor of St. Louis and 15 seats on the city's Board of Alderman are on the ballot.
The other big issue in the city and St. Louis County is the sales tax hike known as Proposition P. It would raise the tax on a $10 purchase to roughly two cents.
The money would pay for improvements to the Gateway Arch ground, park upgrades and more hiking trails.
The polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
