ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The family of a girl killed after an accident last fall is selling baseball tickets to raise money for a scholarship fund.
Southeast Missouri State University student Meghan Herndon died last fall after she collided with a truck while driving her scooter to work in Cape Girardeau.
Herndon was taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to Barnes-Jewish Hospital where she died several days later.
St. Louis Cardinals tickets are being sold for the July 23 game for $20 per ticket. The face value of the tickets is $53 apiece. July 23 was Herndon's birthday.
Her family started the Meg Herndon Scholarship fund. They hope to raise $10,000 with ticket sales to put toward the scholarship.
The deadline to order tickets is July 1. To order, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
