Joshua Stone, Seth Thompson charged for Steak 'n Shake robbery

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KSDK) - Two 18-year-olds have been charged with robbing a St. Charles Steak 'n Shake and ramming two police cars while trying to escape.

St. Charles police said the robbery happened at the restaurant at 2221 First Capitol Drive around 4:02 a.m. Wednesday.

Authorities say the robbers had a gun and demanded money from employees. The employees gave the robbers money and they took off.

Police said they spotted a suspect vehicle and tried to stop them on Bel Rae. The vehicle hit two police officers while trying to escape.

Two officers received minor injuries. They received treatment at an area medical facility and were released.

Joshua A. Stone of St. Louis and Seth J. Thompson of St. Charles were each charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.

Bond is set at $250,000 for each suspect.
