(KSDK Sports) -- When it comes to luck and St. Louis goaltenders, it's a story that no one saw coming.
On Monday, St. Louis Blues goaltender Jaroslav Halak left the game against the Minnesota Wild late in the first period with a lower-body injury. At first glance, the injury did appear to be serious and on Tuesday, the Blues did recall Jake Allen.
It now appears that Halak, could be out for a considerable amount of time. In fact, today at practice, head coach Ken Hitchcock told KSDK Sports Director Rene Knott that he cannot say for certain that Halak will play again this season.
Our crew is returning from Blues practice. When they arrive, we'll provide more information as well as our interview with coach Hitchcock.
Halak missed several starts in early February with a sore groin, but it's unclear if Monday's injury is related.
