FLORISSANT, Mo. (KSDK) - Firefighters from several local departments took part in an emergency response drill at North County Technical High School in Florissant Tuesday.
The drill involves a tornado, a fire and three organizations working together.
Firefighters from six north county fire districts, the high school and Christian Hospital combined forces.
There were a few mannequins used but for the most part, students played the bloodied and bruised victims.
As part of the drill, several were loaded onto stretchers and taken to the hospital emergency room.
The idea is to learn and practice the best way to respond to a mass casualty situation, whether it's a tornado or a shooting inside of the school.
