HOUSTON, Texas (KPRC) - A family in Houston, Texas is demanding further action after a teacher was accused of tapping their daughter and other students on their heads to get their attention.
The incident happened last Wednesday at Highland Heights Elementary School on Paul Quinn Street.
According to a school district investigation, the kids were allegedly a little rowdy after lunch and the teacher, Ms. Cleo Preston, wanted to get their attention.
"I'm not saying she should get fired," said Melissa Perales. "I'm saying she should at least be suspended while they do a thorough investigation. I think she should go to classes on how to treat these kids."
Perales said her daughter is now afraid to go to school, but they learned Tuesday the girl will be moved to another class.
