St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - The south St. Louis man convicted in January of brutally beating and killing his two year old son will be sentenced this morning.
32 year old Aaron Duane Lucy was found guilty by a jury of first degree murder, abuse of a child resulting in death, evidence tampering, and armed criminal action. Lucy will be sentenced to life without any chance of probation or parole.
Two year old Kyle Lucy was killed over the Christmas holidays in 2010, after being left with his father, while other family members went to a holiday performance.
Investigators say Lucy lashed out on his child after he was unable to stop the little boy from crying.
When police arrived, they found the child naked on the floor of the home in the 6900 block of Chippewa, covered in blood. Authorities say they also found blood strewn throughout the home, amongst broken furniture and an overturned television set.
After less than six hours of deliberations, the jury returned guilty verdicts on all charges against Lucy.
