Off-duty police officer shot; Three suspects at large

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) -- The search continues for three suspects who shot an off-duty St. Louis Police officer overnight.

It was just before 4:00 a.m. when a man, 52, and two St. Louis off-duty police officers, ages 25 and 28, were driving south in the 1000 block of N. Taylor when three people fired numerous shots into their vehicle.  The 25-year-old officer was shot in his leg and was the only person wounded in the incident.

The victims drove to Washington and Euclid and contacted police.  The officer shot in his leg was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.

No other injuries were reported. No shots were fired by the
off-duty police officers.

The three suspects were last seen driving a 1995-1999 BMW possible M3 model, with primer where the rear license plate should be.  The car was clean with no visible damage.
