St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - A Jefferson County woman who was working as a house cleaner has been indicted by the St. Louis County Grand Jury for felony stealing.
The indicted confirms prosecutors charges file last year against 31 year old Angela Wisecarver of Imperial, who investigators say stole a diamond engagement ring from the 90 year old woman whose home she was cleaning.
Police say Wisecarver took the ring and later pawned it at a jewelry store in Crestwood.
Authorities were tipped off to the theft last October when the victim contacted police to report the crime. The victim explained to police the ring, valued at $5000 was stolen from her bedroom in July 2012 while her residence was being cleaned.
Wisecarver is scheduled for arraignment on Wednesday.
