Lincoln County, MO (KSDK) - 160 families in Lincoln county are in danger of losing their homes after a major breach on the Bob's Creek Levee.

Firefighters say water levels haven't changed much since Friday, but there's a new threat:  A sand boil that is developling on the Pin Oak Levee, which protects the town city of Winfield.

The sand boil is a result of water seeping into the gound underneath the levee and saturate the land on the dry side.

Left unchecked it can cause additional flood and jeopardize the integrity of a levee.
