Undated (KSDK) - Missouri Highway Patrol troopers had their usual busy weekend, including investigations of two fatal crashes.
In St. Francois County late Friday, one man was killed and two others hurt after the pick-up they were in left Route F west of Best Road and slammed into a tree.
Christopher Gorman, 21 of Fredricktown, was driving the truck and overcorrected after losing control, sending the truck off the pavement where it flipped over and collided with the tree. Gorman was pronounced dead at the scene a little after 11:30 p.m. Friday night.
Two passengers were also injured. 21 year old Adam Govero of Ste. Genevieve was seriously hurt, and 20 year old James Hamilton of Annapolis suffered moderate injuries.
Saturday morning, in Dent County, 50 year old Joy King of Salem died after her speeding car drove off Highway 32 west of Salem, struck a curb, collided with a tractor trailer parked in a vacant lot, then burst into flames.
King was pronounced dead at the crash site around 10:20 a.m. Saturday morning.
And in Warren County Sunday, a man was seriously injured after failing to negotiate his Harley Davidson motorcycle on Honey Locust Road east of Jonesburg.
Bernard White, 49 of Saginaw , Michigan was thrown to the ground after the motorcycle left the road and overturned.
