Lincoln County, MO (KSDK) - A head-on collision Thursday afternoon has killed the driver of one vehicle and injured six others, including five children.

The preliminary report from the Missouri Highway Patrol was in error, having lused all five of the children having been passengers in one car.

Troopers say at 5:45 p.m. yesterday on Highway C at North Shore Lane east of Moscow Mills, Shaun Rivera, 30, of Troy, crossed the center line of the highway and slammed into an oncoming sport utility vehicle.

Rivera was pronounced dead at the hospital about an hour later.

Troopers say Rivera was westbound on Highway C when she crossed into the eastbound lanes and struck the SUV.

Two children in the Rivera car, ages 9 and 11, were injured in the crash as well as the other driver, a 35-year-old woman from Old Monroe, and her three children, ages 3.6, and 9.

None of the other injuries was classified as life threatening.
