Right now everything seems to be clicking for the Redbirds who will play a Mother's Day matinee Sunday afternoon at Busch, as they attempt to sweep the Rockies with a third straight shutout.
The Cardinals have gotten back to back huge pitching performances as they shut down the Colorado Rockies once again on Saturday.
Allen Craig had three hits and Matt Carpenter, Jon Jay, Matt Holliday, and Yadier Molina each had two hits as the Cardinals scored three runs off of 13 hits.
Adam Wainwright went the distance as the starting pitcher allowed two hits and struck out seven over nine full innings to get the win and go to 5-2 on the year.
