ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - You can prevent your kids from getting summer brain drain, and keep them sharp.

Educators say parents should make sure kids read all summer long.  If they don't, they could lose the reading and writing skills learned during the school year.

Support Dogs, Inc. offers a fantastic program through the St. Louis Public Library.  Volunteers and their trained dogs meet with children at area libraries.  The children read to the dogs.  Its a win-win situation.

Paws for Reading will be at The Rock Hill Library June 13, July 11, and August 8th, and at the Brentwood library June 11th and 25th, July 9th and July 9th and 23rd.
