Red Cross volunteers to help with Oklahoma tornado relief

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - More than 50 American Red Cross Greater St. Louis Region volunteers are on standby, waiting for their assignment to deploy following the deadly Oklahoma tornado.

An American Red Cross volunteer nurse from Columbia, Missouri is already headed to Moore, Oklahoma.

Two dozen people died in the Monday tornado and more than 230 people were injured.

People who want to donate to the tornado disaster relief can call 1-800-REDCROSS (733-2767), visit or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation. Donation help to provide food, shelter and emotional support to those affected by disasters.
