ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The St. Louis Cardinals and Relevent Sports announced Wednesday they will team up with the Chelsea Football Club and the Manchester City Football Club to help kids affected by the tornado in Moore, Okla.

The Cardinals and Relevent Sports are pledging $1 from every ticket sold to Thursday's soccer game between Chelsea and Manchester City at Busch Stadium. That money will go to the Oklahoma Recovery Fund, established by Cardinals Care for the tornado victims.

"We have all been moved by the heartbreaking images and stories coming out of Oklahoma," said Bill DeWitt III, President of the St. Louis Cardinals. "Cardinals Care has established a special fund to help the many children whose lives have been forever changed by tragedy."

Chelsea and Manchester City will each match the donation. They will also be wearing commemorative black arm bands during the match.

"We are united in our commitment to help. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Oklahoma," said Chelsea FC Chief Executive Ron Gourlay and Manchester City FC Chief Executive Ferran Soriano, Chief Executive for the Manchester City Football Club in a joint statement.

The Cardinals Care organization will work with the Moore community to determine the needs of the city's children. You can follow their progress on Twitter with the hashtag #care4kidsOK.

Fans wishing to make contributions will be able to donate cash as they enter the gates to Busch Stadium. St. Louis Fire Department personnel will be on hand to collect the money. Donations can also be made online through the St. Louis Cardinals' website.

Batteries, building supplies, small hand tools, baby formula, and pet food will also be collected at the #STL4OKC donation drive. Supplies will be collected outside Gate 1 in the Tums parking lot from 4 p.m. until the soccer game is over. Fans can also donate cash at this location, or use their credit or debit cards to donate to the American Red Cross.
