ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - The Missouri Department of Transportation has rescheduled a planned closure of the westbound Interstate 70 ramp to southbound Fifth Street due to weather issues.
The ramp was scheduled to be closed Monday, June 3 for bridge repair work. The bridge over Fifth Street is being rehabilitated and resurfaced as part of the I-70 Blanchette Missouri River Bridge project.
The ramp closure will now start Monday, June 10 at 8 p.m. and last until Monday, July 1. Three lanes of westbound I-70 will stay open and the ramp from westbound I-70 to northbound Fifth Street will remain open during this closure.
Work crews will closure one lane of westbound I-70 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday to set up the work zone and close the southbound ramp to Fifth Street.
Westbound drivers can avoid the I-70 work zone altogether by using the Route 364 Missouri River Bridge crossing and exit at Arena Parkway to get to Fifth Street.
