PHOENIX (KNXV/CNN) - An Arizona mother is accused of injecting her 5-year-old with meth.
A mother , meth and children. Key words involving 30-year old Jacqueline Trousdale.
Detectives say it was at this phoenix motel where they learned Trousdale injected one of her children, a 5-year-old with meth.
Trousdale faces charges of child abuse among others, after police say her 5-year-old tested positive for meth.
But in her hearing, Trousdale had a statement for the judge.
"It's amazing how you can be innocent and go to jail," she said.
Claiming she's innocent, it all started with police looking into claims Trousedale's children had been sexually assaulted.
Those claims turned out to be unfounded, but according to court documents, one of the kids did tell investigators her mom stuck her with a needle in her foot and arm.
Lab tests confirmed it was meth.
Trousdale's friends said they didn't know about the arrest, concerned about the kids.
At the time of the arrest, officers say one of her children had a fever, was underweight and an untreated heart condition.
