St. Clair, MO (KSDK) - The superintendent of the Meramec Lakes Golf Course in Franklin County has been found safe after he became disoriented and lost overnight on the grounds of the club near St. Clair.
Authorities say around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, the man left the club on a golf cart to fish in a nearby pond. When the man did not return home overnight, his concered wife called police around 1:00 a.m. and a search was initiated.
About two hours later, searchers on golf carts found tracks off a trail leading into some woods where they searched and located a cart stuck in the mud, then located the missing man.
The victim was brought back to the club house where he was examined for injuries, then reunited with his wife.
