ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Two people were charged following a suspected assault overnight in a north city neighborhood, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
According to Leah Freeman, a police spokeswoman, officers were called to the 2900 block of Union Boulevard at 2:30 a.m. and located two victims.
Victim #1 told police that her cousin, identified as Suspect #2, exited a car from the passenger seat with a baseball bat and struck her in the head. Victim #2 disarmed Suspect #2, who then ran off.
Victim #2 said he approached the driver of the car, identified as Suspect #1, who then backed up the vehicle and ran over Victim #2's leg.

Both victims were taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
