WASHINGTON PARK, Ill. (KSDK) - The Washington Park fire chief is free on bond after allegedly using a gun to send a strong message to his daughter's boyfriend.
It happened Monday night at Mark Norris' home in O'Fallon, Mo. Police say Norris had told his daughter's boyfriend to stay away before, and when the boy showed up Monday night, Norris fired three shots into the ground.
Investigators say Norris never pointed the gun directly at anyone.
Norris was arrested for discharging a firearm within the city limits.
