(KSDK) -- Proctor & Gamble is voluntarily recalling some of its Iams and Eukanuba dry pet foods, because of salmonella contamination concerns.
The company says there have been no reports of any salmonella-related illnesses. But it says routine testing revealed a limited amount of food was produced under conditions that could potential for contamination.
Salmonella can cause diarrhea, vomitting, loss of appetite and lethargy in dogs and cats. People can also contract salmonella by handling contaminated pet food.
The recalled procuts all have best-by dates ranging from November 5, 2014 to November 14, 2014.

Consumers who purchased the recalled pet food should stop using it, and discard it. Consumers can contact P&G toll-free at (800) 208-0172.
