EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (KSDK) - Southern Illinois University Edwardsville will get a renovated science building, thanks to Gov. Pat Quinn's capital construction program.

Gov. Quinn announced $23 million will go toward upgrading climate control, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems at the school's science laboratory building. The renovation will also complement the newly constructed 107,000-square-foot facility.

The building improvements and the new SIUE campus building are a part of the governor's $31 billion Illinois Jobs Now! Program, which will support more than 400,000 jobs throughout the next six years.
