ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A jury convicted a local man of an October 2011 shooting in the Penrose neighborhood in north St. Louis, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office said Friday.
The shooting took place October 27, 2011.
Prosecutors said the suspect, Dontae Charles, walked up to the porch of a residence and shot the cousin and sister of his ex-girlfriend. He then followed them into the home and continued shooting. One victim was shot five times and the other was shot twice.
The two ultimately survived the shooting.
Charles was found guilty of two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of armed criminal action. He's scheduled to be sentenced October 31.
