EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KSDK)- One of the men accused of brutally murdering an 85-year-old grandmother two years ago pleaded guilty Monday to first degree murder. He faces up to 60 years in prison.
Police say Daquan Barnes, then 18, kidnapped 85-year-old Yoko Cullen from a Collinsville bingo hall in May 2011. Cullens' burning car was soon found in East St. Louis. Her body was in the trunk.
Police called it a crime of opportunity.
Latosha Cunningham and Demarcus Barnes have also been charged in the crime.
