ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - The Lindbergh School District has ranked number one in academic achievement for all K-12 districts in Missouri for the fourth consecutive year.
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education compiled the data from MAP test results.
Lindbergh students far outpaced the average results in communication arts and math. In the former category, 78.9 percent of Lindbergh students scored proficient or advanced compared to 55.6 percent of students across the state. In the math category, 83.6 percent of Lindbergh students scored proficient or advanced compared to the state average of 53.9 percent.
Lindbergh High School had the highest score in English-language arts and was fourth overall among traditional public high schools in the state.
Three elementary schools in the district--Concord, Crestwood and Long--ranked among the top 10 in the state in overall student achievement, among traditional elementary schools.
The DESE awarded the district an overall score of 99.3 percent, and certified it "Accredited with Distinction."
