COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KSDK) - The Illinois Department of Transportation announced plans for closures along three highways for Illinois/Missouri bridge inspections.
Interstate 270 Chain of Rocks Mississippi River Bridge, U.S. 67 Clark Bridge and the Martin Luther King Bridge will have closures Wednesday and Thursday for the inspections, which are scheduled for every two years.
Wednesday, the westbound right lane of the I-270 Chain of Rocks Mississippi River Bridge will be closed between 9 a.m. and noon, but the westbound right lane will remain open. The same day, the westbound right lane of the U.S. 67 Clark Bridge will be closed between 1 and 3 p.m. The westbound left lane will be open during this time.
The eastbound right lane of the MLK Bridge will be closed between 8 a.m. and noon Thursday. The eastbound left lane will remain open during this time.
IDOT officials expect for all work to be completed by Thursday.
