(KSDK Sports) -- The St. Louis Blues will open training camp, without one of their top defenseman, Alex Pietrangelo, on the roster. "Talks between the Blues and Alex's camp have broken off for now and Alex will not be reporting for our camp today," said Blues general manager Doug Armstrong.
Armstrong will address the media today at 11:00am at the Mills practice facility. After that availability, the Blues say they will have no comment on the negotiations until an agreement is reached. KSDK Sports Director Rene Knott will be there to cover the press conference.
A total of 53 players will participate in the 2013 St. Louis Blues Training Camp, with practices beginning on Thursday, September 12, at 12:00pm at Scottrade Center.
Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the first practice.
