CNN - More than 200,000 people are already lining up for a one-way ticket to Mars.
That's how many applicants a Dutch company got for the first round of its Mars One astronaut selection program.
Mars One took applications from around the world for five months.
The company says the country with the largest number of applicants -- making up 24 percent of their pool -- was the U.S.
The Mars One committee will now hold additional selection rounds over the next two years to choose which applicants will move ahead in the process to be in the first team of four people to land on Mars.
