ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar has filed paperwork saying his office intends to seek the death penalty against a man accused of murdering an O'Fallon, Mo. woman earlier this year.

Terry Glennon Culberson is charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of his girlfriend, 55-year-old Dorothy Hall Feb. 5, 2013.

Hall was found inside Culberson's home with multiple gunshot wounds to the head.

"Our investigation has uncovered evidence of certain aggravating circumstances that authorize us to seek the death penalty. We believe that a St. Charles County jury should, after hearing the evidence, decide whether the death penalty is warranted," said Lohmar.

Culberson was taken into custody 10 days later by U.S. Marshals in Love County, Okla. He remains in custody, held on a $500,000 cash-only bond. A trial date has not been set.
