ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A new school could be coming to St. Louis' growing Tower Grove East neighborhood.

Wednesday night, St. Louis Public Schools leaders hosted a town hall meeting at Roosevelt High School about the plans. They're trying to decide whether to renovate the existing Shenandoah Elementary or build a new elementary in its place.

The new school would also serve students at Mann Elementary, and Mann would close. District leaders say more kids are born in the tower grove east neighborhood than in any other area in the city right now.

"And we know that it warrants a larger school that can accommodate all of those students," said Racehl Seward.

If you couldn't make it Wednesday night there's another town hall meeting on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Cleveland JROTC on South Kingshighway.
