ST. LOUIS (KSDK) -St. Louis will be part of the global fight against hunger Friday.
Volunteers are needed to help package some 200,000 meals for "World Food Day." The food will be shipped to malnourished kids across the country and around the globe.
This is the fourth year for World Food Day in St. Louis, and more than one million meals have been assembled, according to the organization's website.
World Food Day hopes to recruit more than 1,000 packaging partners to help package 200,000 rice and soy protein meals in a single day. The registration fee to volunteer is $10 for students and $20 for adults. The registration fees go toward the food.
