ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - Police have released two men and continue to investigate an officer-involved shooting that happened in north St. Louis Saturday.
According to St. Louis police, Jared Harris, 25, shot at officers and hit one after police observed a possible drug transaction at the intersection of Garfield and Taylor. The officers fired back and shot Harris multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police took into custody two other men who were later questioned and released.
The wounded officer was shot in the foot and released from the hospital late Sunday. He and the other officer involved have been placed on administrative leave, according to police.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
