St. Louis, Mo. (KSDK) -- Two homes in South St. Louis are damaged after a one-alarm fire.
It started around 4:35 p.m. Sunday in the 2900 block of South Compton.
Investigators say the fire started in the back of a two-story home and then spread to a one-story home nearby.
Both homes have minor damage.
Investigators say a man and his dog lived in the two-story home. But both made it out safely before firefighters arrived.
No word on a cause.
An investigation is underway.
