ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis University director of athletics Chris May announced today that Shimmy Gray-Miller will not return next season as head coach of the Billiken women's basketball team.

"Women's basketball is a premier athletic program at SLU for which we have high expectations," May said. "A national search has begun where we are seeking candidates who share in our department goals of educating student-athletes, competing for Atlantic 10 Conference championships and building community.

"With the unmatched Saint Louis University education, the state-of-the-art Chaifetz Arena and fertile recruiting grounds in St. Louis and the Midwest, SLU women's basketball has all of the tools required to compete on a national level," May said. "We thank Shimmy Gray-Miller for her seven years of service to the University, the athletics program and the community."

Gray-Miller's first season was in 2005-06. Her seven-year career record is 71-136.
