New Orleans, LA (Sports Network) - Jordan Callahan scored a game-high 20
points as the Tulane Green Wave beat the Pepperdine Waves, 69-54, as part of
the Tulane Classic at Devlin Fieldhouse.
Callahan was 6-of-9 from the field and made four 3-pointers as the Green
Wave (9-3) won their second in a row an improved to 9-0 at home this season.
Josh Davis contributed 19 points and seven rebounds, while Ricky Tarrant
managed 12 points and six assists.
For the Waves (7-5), Lorne Jackson and Jordan Baker each scored 12 points,
while Jett Raines added 10 points and five rebounds before fouling out.
Pepperdine has now lost two of its last three games.
Tulane took a 30-24 lead into the break thanks to eight points at the free-
throw line, compared to only one for the Waves.
The Green Wave outscored Pepperdine 39-30 in the second half, shooting 57.1
percent from the field and hitting a perfect 14-of-14 at the charity stripe.
Tulane outscored the Waves 30-16 in the paint and also limited the visitors to
a mere four offensive rebounds.
