Morehead, KY (Sports Network) - New Morehead State football coach Rob Tenyer
has tabbed Craig Mullins as his offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Mullins has served in that capacity the last 16 seasons at Georgetown College
(Ky.), his alma mater.
"Craig has coached at the college level for the past 20 years, and we're
excited about adding someone to our staff with that kind of experience,"
Tenyer said. "He is a high-quality recruiter and has very good ties to the
high school programs in the state of Kentucky."
Georgetown posted a 155-36 record (.812) during Mullins' tenure, going to four
straight NAIA national championship games from 1999 to 2002, including wins in
2000 and '01.
He was named the American Football Coaches Association's NAIA assistant
coach of the year in 2011 and its NAIA coordinator of the year in 1999.
Mullins also served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at
California University (Pa.) from 1993-96.
Tenyer took over the Morehead State program on Dec. 13. He was an assistant
the past 12 seasons, including the last two as offensive coordinator.
The Eagles were 4-7 overall, including 3-5 in the Pioneer Football League,
this past season.
