COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Missouri senior Laurence Bowers says he expects to return to the court Wednesday night at LSU after missing five games with a knee sprain.
The Columbia Daily Tribune reports Bowers wrote in a Monday Twitter exchange with Mississippi center Reginald Buckner that he plans to rejoin No. 17 Missouri (15-4, 2-2 Southeastern Conference) against Louisiana State (10-7, 1-5).
The 6-foot-8, 227-pound senior leads the Tigers in scoring with 16.8 points per game and ranks second with 6.9 rebounds.
Bowers suffered a sprained right knee Jan. 5 against Alabama in the Tigers' SEC opener after colliding with teammate Phil Pressey. He missed the entire 2011-12 season with a left knee injury.
