For the second straight scrimmage, Dorial Green Beckham showed why he was the nation's top recruit in 2012. The sophomore receiver brought in 8 catches for 135 yards and a 50 yard touchdown. DGB has led the Tigers in receiving for both scrimmages.
The staff has made it no secret that the quarterback job is an open competition, and it is as close a race as ever. James Franklin had the best day of the three, going 15-24 for 170 yards and a score. Redshirt freshman Maty Mauk was 12 of 25 for 143 yards and score while Corbin Berkstresser was 13 of 27 for 130 yards and score. All three also threw an interception.
The 2013 Black & Gold Spring Game is set for Saturday, April 20th at Faurot Field/Memorial Stadium at 1 p.m.
