Marquette Golden Eagles, 86-79, in a Big East Conference matchup at the Cintas
Justin Martin scored 15 points and added eight rebounds for Xavier (13-3, 3-0
Big East). Dee Davis added 13 points and six assists while James Farr scored
10. The Musketeers have won eight straight contests.
Davante Gardner paced the Golden Eagles (9-7, 1-2) with 19 points and four
boards. Jake Thomas added 17 points, Deonte Burton chipped in 13 and Todd
Mayo scored 10 points.
Xavier made 46.4 percent of its first-half field goal attempts, including
2-of-8 from 3-point range. The Musketeers held a 40-34 lead at the break.
