WASHINGTON (KSDK) - The Stan Musial Memorial Bridge is one step closer to becoming a reality.
The U.S. Senate unanimously passed the legislation Monday night to name the new bridge under construction in downtown St. Louis after Stan 'The Man.'
The legislation now heads to the U.S. House of Representatives.
Last month, the Missouri and Illinois Senators teamed-up to introduce the legislation.
The St. Louis Cardinal-great died at the age of 92 in January 2013.
