Maryvale, AZ (Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Brewers have reportedly agreed to a contract with pitcher Kyle Lohse.

According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the three-year deal is worth $11 million per season plus incentives. The paper said it will become official once Lohse passes a physical.

Lohse had spent the past five seasons with St. Louis and was coming off the best year of his career in 2012. He was 16-3 with a 2.86 ERA in 33 starts, but the Cardinals offered him compensation as a free agent and any team that signed him would have to forfeit a first-round draft pick.

The Brewers will have to surrender the 17th pick in the draft after signing him.

Lohse was 55-35 with an ERA of 3.90 during his time in St. Louis. He helped the Cardinals to the 2011 World Series title.

The 34-year-old right-hander owns a career record of 118-109 with a 4.45 ERA in 355 games, including 331 starts, over 12 big league seasons with Minnesota, Cincinnati, Philadelphia and St. Louis.
